Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Derek Wiser!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dayshus closes the distance and clinches.
Dayshus prevents Wiser from breaking the clinch.
Dayshus lands a body punch.
Wiser tries to pull guard but Dayshus forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Nice body punch from Dayshus - that landed with a thud.
Wiser prevents a body shot from Dayshus.
Dayshus lands a right hand.
Dayshus jumps guard but Wiser stands there with Dayshus around his waist. Dayshus gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dayshus throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wisers head.
Dayshus presses Wiser against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dayshus digs a right hand underneath Wiser's ribcage. Wiser let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Wiser tries to pull guard but Dayshus holds him up against the cage and eventually Wiser drops back down to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Dayshus has closed the distance and engaged Wiser in a clinch.
Dayshus gets through Wiser's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Dayshus jumps guard but Wiser stands there with Dayshus around his waist. Dayshus gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bo Dayshus. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wiser's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dayshus jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wiser misses with a takedown attempt - Dayshus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wiser takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Dayshus clinches up against the cage.

Dayshus pulls guard successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dayshus is on top in guard.
Dayshus trying to control the position from guard on top but Wiser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dayshus drops back looking for a leg! Wiser is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wiser manages to kick Dayshus off! Dayshus jumps back into Wiser's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dayshus is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dayshus forces his way into half guard.

Wiser pushes Dayshus off looking to stand but Dayshus dives back in and keeps control.

Dayshus has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Wiser defend it? Dayshus steps over the head and cranks it - Wiser is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Dayshus!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bo Dayshus!
