The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eldridge tries to clinch up.
Eldridge throws a nice looking combination but Fernandez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Horrible takedown by Fernandez or perhaps it was just good defense by Eldridge which made him look bad.
Fernandez throws a jab but it's blocked by Eldridge.
Fernandez dives in and grabs Eldridge's left leg, looking for a takedown. Eldridge pushes down on Fernandez's head and hops out.
Fernandez takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Nicky Fernandez has been cut.
Fernandez takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A jab from Eldridge finds it's way through Fernandez's defenses.
