Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Uvol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Wysote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Timmy Wysote will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Uvol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Timmy Wysote!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wysote has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Uvol.

Uvol feints and as Wysote raises his hands in defense, Uvol changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Wysote is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Uvol is aware though and is defending well.
Uvol's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Uvol has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Uvol's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Paul Uvol just wasn't active enough.
Wysote misses with a jab, cross combination.

Wysote pushes Uvol up against the cage in a clinch.
Uvol is looking for a takedown.

Wysote turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Wysote manages to end up in side control.

Wysote is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Uvol is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Uvol tries to bench press Wysote off him but Wysote keeps the position.

Wysote goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Uvol rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Wysote's guard! Nice work there by Uvol!

Uvol knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wysote on the ground.

Uvol wants to control from the top but Wysote keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Wysote swings wildly with an uppercut but Uvol uses good head movement to avoid it.
Uvol blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Uvol looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wysote is fending him off so far but Uvol persists. Nope, Wysote circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Uvol closes the distance and clinches up with Wysote, looking for a takedown. Uvol pushes Wysote against the cage but Wysote circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Uvol has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Wysote is trying to keep an underhook but Uvol manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Wysote thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Uvol is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wysote is controlling him.
Uvol preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Wysote postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Uvol is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wysote, into his guard.
Uvol tries to free his leg and advance position but Wysote is retaining full guard.

Wysote throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Uvol looking to sit in guard and control but Wysote gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Wysote passes Uvol's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Wysote tries to pass the half guard into mount. Uvol knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Wysote is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Wysote is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Timmy Wysote has got the better of the ground game so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wysote is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Uvol sees it coming and defends easily.

Timmy Wysote showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Wysote wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Uvol content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Uvol has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Wysote manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Wysote is working for a kimura but Uvol is defending it quite comfortably.

Wysote is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Wysote thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Wysote uses his free foot to push down on Uvol's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Uvol.

Wysote with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Wysote has isolated one of Uvol's arms. Uvol looking to fight him off but Wysote twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
