The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guzman shoots and misses

so Hanlon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hanlon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Guzman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Guzman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hanlon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hanlon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hanlon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Guzman is keeping the position for now.
Hanlon is working hard here to advance position.
Guzman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hanlon tries to free his leg and advance position but Guzman is retaining full guard.
Hanlon throws a strike but Guzman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hanlon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Guzman defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Guzman has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hanlon to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Guzman is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hanlon pulls down on the head and he's put Guzman to sleep! This one is all over!
