Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cain Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Booby Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cain Slade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Booby Miles!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slade shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Slade was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Slade tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Slade trying to control the position but Miles is working away.
Slade knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miles on the ground.
Miles prevents Slade from improving position.

Slade stands up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Slade gets the takedown into side control.

Slade tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Slade has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Miles is trying to control Slade's posture but Slade avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ground and pound from Slade seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Slade happy to just control the position for now.
Miles manages to get back to half guard.
Slade trying to control from half guard but Miles is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slade thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Slade controlling the action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Cain Slade just wasn't active enough.
Both fighters circling a little - Slade finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Slade pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Slade lands a right hook to the body.
Slade throws a sloppy head kick and Miles moves out of range easily.

Slade feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Slade postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Slade trying to control the position from guard on top but Miles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Slade's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Cain Slade has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Slade throws a head kick but Miles moves out of range.

Slade throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Miles was covering up waiting for the punch and Slade finishes the takedown easily into guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Slade is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cain Slade dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Miles gets tackled into the cage by Slade. Slade maintains the clinch.
Miles tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Slade jumps guard.
Slade is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Miles drops back, looking for a kneebar! Slade looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Slade looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Slade!
Miles wants to control but Slade postures up.
Cain Slade overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Slade creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slade wants to control but Miles is keeping him busy.
Slade slows the pace down.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cain Slade wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Slade.
Slade throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Slade trying to control the position but Miles is working away.

Slade thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Slade wants to stand but Miles is controlling his arm.
Miles manages to work his way to half guard, despite Slade's best efforts.
Slade looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Miles with the active half guard here but Slade passes nicely into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Slade with the ground and pound but Miles regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Slade tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Miles.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Slade wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Miles uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cain Slade dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Slade just misses with a punch to the body.

Slade closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Miles's guard.
Slade trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Miles is trying to control the position but Slade postures up.
Slade is stalling in the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Slade scores with a takedown into Miles's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slade lands a couple of elbows.
Slade throwing strikes from guard but Miles blocks nicely.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Miles is on top in guard.

Slade is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miles defends well.
Slade lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Miles drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Miles as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Slade screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Miles! Nice submission victory there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Booby Miles!
