Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leroy Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Cretti!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cretti tries for a takedown but Brown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brown shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brown showed some decent athleticism there.
Brown is looking to take a break and control but Cretti is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Brown content to control rather than advance.
Brown wants to advance to full mount but Cretti doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Brown is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cretti is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brown, into his guard.
Brown has his hands on Cretti's head, controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Brown looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Cretti passes into side control.
Brown tries to bench press Cretti off him but Cretti keeps the position.
Brown can't do much from the bottom here.
Brown tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cretti can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brown is looking to escape.
Brown tries to control Cretti's body but Cretti pushes him off. Brown squirms to his side and now Cretti has his back!
Cretti is not going to allow Brown to sit and survive in this position.
Brown tries to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Brown trying to control but not successfully.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Leroy Brown just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Cretti is wriggling around trying to escape.
Cretti sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cretti regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Brown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leroy Brown dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cretti fails with the takedown
and Brown counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cretti's guard now.
Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Cretti keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully.
Cretti has a closed guard, preventing Brown from standing up.
Brown trying to control but Cretti is working from the bottom.
Brown has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Cretti looking for a guillotine here but Brown defends easily.
Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cretti swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brown is posturing up here but Cretti has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Brown tries to roll out but it's too tight and Brown has to tap! Slick submission there by Cretti!
