Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hermio Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Amir Khan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hermio Junior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Amir Khan! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Khan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Junior avoids it really well and circles away. Good exchange - Junior coming out on top. Junior defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Khan. Hermio Junior has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amir Khan. Junior steps into range and cracks Khan with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Khan flops backwards and Junior dives into his guard looking to finish!
Khan is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Junior wants to stand but Khan is controlling his posture from full guard. Khan is still in real trouble! Can Junior finish him? Khan is looking for a triangle but Junior pushes his legs off easily.
Khan seems to have recovered his senses. Khan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Junior doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Junior manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Junior is looking to stand up but Khan won't let him. Khan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Khan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Junior wanted to stand there but Khan had control of the position. Khan looking for a sweep. Not yet Khan, not yet. Junior wants to stand but Khan has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Khan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Junior defends it easily. Khan throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Khan wants to sweep but no luck. Junior knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khan on the ground. Junior has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Khan is proving hard to escape from. Junior preventing the sweep. Khan has his foot on Junior's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Junior works his way back into a safe position though. Junior won't allow Khan to sweep him here. Khan has a closed guard, preventing Junior from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Junior preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Junior wanted to stand there but Khan had control of the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Khan is on top in guard.
Khan stops Junior from standing up. Khan is working Junior over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Khan tries to free his leg and advance position but Junior is retaining full guard. Khan prevents Junior from getting back to his feet. Junior working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Khan. Junior wants to get back to his feet but Khan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan pushes down on Junior's leg and manages to get into half guard. Khan scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Khan wants to free his trapped foot but Junior is holding on for dear life with his legs. Khan prevents Junior from standing back up.
Junior is staying active underneath Khan, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Khan throwing shots but Junior is blocking nicely. Khan works his way into full mount! Khan trying to control but he's not successful this time. Junior is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Junior trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Khan working Junior over with strikes here.
It looks like Hermio Junior has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khan working away from the top, dropping strikes. Khan lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Junior hang on?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan with the ground and pound from mount.
Junior is rocked! Khan punishing his opponent with strikes. Oh Junior is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Khan looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Khan working for a guillotine from mount but Junior is in no mood to give up. Khan postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Junior bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Khan and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Amir Khan!
