Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Kimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Fistface!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fistface is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kimura.
Fistface closes the distance and clinches.
Kimura is trying to break free.
Fistface unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kimura lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Kimura is trying to pull guard but Fistface turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kimura can't get the takedown.

Fistface pulls guard successfully.
Fistface throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Kimura throwing strikes but missing.
Fistface utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kimura throws a big right hand that misses.
Kimura prevents Fistface from getting back to his feet.
Kimura throws an elbow that misses. Fistface uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kimura's guard. Nice move by Fistface!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kimura has his foot on Fistface's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fistface works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Kimura looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Fistface is defending well. Kimura quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Fistface has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kimura celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joe Kimura!
After winning the bout, Joe Kimura thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
