Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasquez comes to the cage accompanied by Vicente Fernandez - Los Mandados. Barry is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Going Back 2 Cali. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cain Vasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pat Barry! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasquez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Vasquez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Barry knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Barry works his way to full guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barry manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Barry looking for a guillotine from mount but Vasquez is having none of it. Vasquez is working to get back to half guard.
Barry tries to control but Vasquez wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Barry. Barry trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barry pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Barry working the ground and pound effectively.
Barry tries to control but Vasquez wriggling away. Vasquez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barry on the ground. Barry might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vasquez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Vasquez wants to control but Barry is having none of it. Barry sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Barry has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Barry tries to control but Vasquez wriggling away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Barry throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Barry breaks from Vasquez's wrist control and lands an elbow. Vasquez wants to hold on but Barry pushes him away. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Barry has eaten all the pies! Barry trying to control but Vasquez is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barry with the ground and pound from mount. Barry can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Vasquez is looking to escape. Barry throws some wild stikes that Vasquez manages to avoid easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasquez in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Vasquez wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Barry.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barry pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Barry scoring with strikes but Vasquez is staying in there. Barry working away from the top, dropping strikes. Vasquez is working to get back to half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Barry cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barry is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vasquez has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Barry looking to finish Vasquez with some ground and pound. This is bad for Vasquez! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pat Barry dominated that round. That's time! Vasquez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Vasquez slaps away a takedown attempt from Barry, before circling back to the center of the mat. Vasquez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Barry is trying to stand.
Vasquez content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Barry is refusing to be controlled, as Vasquez sits in half guard. Vasquez stops Barry from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cain Vasquez wasn't doing enough on the ground. Vasquez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Barry makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Barry. Barry is trying to control the position but Vasquez postures up. Vasquez controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Barry wants to sweep here but Vasquez controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasquez postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barry can do anything to dispel that myth. Vasquez stops Barry from standing up. Barry is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Barry is breathing heavily. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Vasquez looking to sit in guard and control but Barry gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Barry landing with the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barry content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Barry won't allow Vasquez to sweep him here. Barry wants to control from the top but Vasquez keeps moving. Barry pushing down on Vasquez's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Barry keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Barry throwing shots but Vasquez is blocking nicely. Barry is trying to control. Vasquez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Barry prevents Vasquez from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasquez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Barry wants to control but Vasquez is keeping him busy. Barry not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Vasquez trying to hold on to Barry's head to control him but Barry postures up.
Barry is pressing down on Vasquez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vasquez is holding on for now. Vasquez wants to improve his position but Barry is controlling well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Barry shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vasquez pinned against the cage. Vasquez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vasquez tries to clinch but Barry is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Cain Vasquez will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Cain Vasquez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Barry shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Barry showed some decent athleticism there. Vasquez is looking for a sweep. Barry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Barry blocks the strikes from Vasquez.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barry is thwarting Vasquez's attempts to control the position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Barry connects with a nice short shot to Vasquez's temple. Barry landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Barry in particular looking to stall. Barry seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vasquez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Vasquez tries to roll over but Barry keeps him under control. Barry missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Barry takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Barry is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vasquez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Barry. Barry takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Vasquez flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barry works his way into full mount! Vasquez really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Vasquez is working hard here to advance position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vasquez wants to hold on but Barry pushes him away. Barry landing punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barry goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Vasquez turns into him and now he's in Barry's guard.
Barry wants to stand but Vasquez is controlling the position. Vasquez wants to get up but he can't break Barry's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Barry is trying to control the position from the bottom.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Pat Barry! After the fight, Pat Barry was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
