The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karev lands a big head kick that sends Smith tumbling to the mat! Karev takes a step backwards and waves Smith back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Karev uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smith.

Karev fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smith has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Karev fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Karev digs a good body shot into Smith's ribs.

and as Smith loses concentration momentarily, Karev counters with a picture perfect head kick! Smith goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!

After winning the bout, Oleg Karev thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
