Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Janusz Gawrolek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakov Tarbanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Janusz Gawrolek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jakov Tarbanov!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gawrolek fails with an attempt to clinch.

Tarbanov is trying to drag Gawrolek to the mat but Gawrolek just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Still in the clinch, Gawrolek scores with a nice short uppercut.

Tarbanov takes a knee to the side of the body.

Gawrolek ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gawrolek no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tarbanov is fighting to break Gawrolek's control of his arms but Gawrolek is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Gawrolek changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tarbanov tries to avoid it but Gawrolek manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tarbanov to the ground. Tarbanov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tarbanov fails to land the takedown.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gawrolek looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gawrolek tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tarbanov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Janusz Gawrolek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tarbanov shoots in and bounces Gawrolek off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tarbanov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gawrolek's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Gawrolek jumps into guard, dragging Tarbanov to the mat.
Gawrolek is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Tarbanov tries to free his leg and advance position but Gawrolek is retaining full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gawrolek seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tarbanov is looking to reverse the position.

Tarbanov is trying to control Gawrolek's posture but Gawrolek avoids it.

Gawrolek is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tarbanov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gawrolek thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Gawrolek creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Tarbanov is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gawrolek is controlling him well.

Gawrolek is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tarbanov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Gawrolek is working to tighten is grip on Tarbanov's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Tarbanov has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gawrolek is really squeezing tight and eventually Tarbanov passes out! Gawrolek breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
