Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Dugan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateusz Pawlak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matthew Dugan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mateusz Pawlak! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pawlak circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dugan closes the distance and clinches up with Pawlak, looking for a takedown. Dugan pushes Pawlak against the cage but Pawlak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Pawlak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dugan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pawlak closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dugan circles away. Dugan fails with a takedown attempt. Dugan stuffs the takedown. Matthew Dugan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mateusz Pawlak. Dugan misses the jab. Pawlak tries to clinch up. Dugan fails with the takedown. Pawlak instigates a clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Dugan. Dugan breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dugan moves out of range of the strikes. Pawlak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dugan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pawlak showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dugan.
Dugan fails with a takedown attempt. Pawlak takes the fight into the clinch. Dugan is struggling to control the position. Pawlak jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dugan walks away with a smile on his face. Pawlak gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Dugan keeps the fight on the outside. Dugan leaves Pawlak with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pawlak misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dugan.
Dugan clinches. Dugan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pawlak manages to break the clinch.
Dugan looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. No luck for Pawlak with that takedown attempt. Pawlak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dugan as he jumps to the side. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pawlak. Pawlak looks winded! Dugan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dugan shoots in but no luck this time. Nice takedown defense from Pawlak. No joy for Dugan on that attempt. Dugan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pawlak. Dugan tries to clinch but Pawlak moves away and Pawlak counters with a flying knee. Nice. Pawlak tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dugan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pawlak somewhat. Pawlak closes the distance and clinches up with Dugan, looking for a takedown. Pawlak pushes Dugan against the cage but Dugan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Pawlak lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dugan circles away quickly and effectively. Dugan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dugan shoots for a takedown but Pawlak saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pawlak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dugan as he jumps to the side. Pawlak tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dugan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pawlak somewhat. The fight moves into the clinch position. Dugan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dugan lands a jab to the nose. Dugan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pawlak fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Matthew Dugan will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Pawlak tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dugan swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dugan shoots in but Pawlak avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dugan shoots in looking for a takedown but Pawlak manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dugan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Pawlak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pawlak throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Pawlak bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Pawlak tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pawlak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dugan is trying to control Pawlak's posture but Pawlak avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pawlak misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Pawlak stands up. Dugan stuffs the takedown. Pawlak is breathing heavily. Pawlak shoots in for a takedown but Dugan shows good takedown defense. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pawlak is defended easily by Dugan. Matthew Dugan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mateusz Pawlak.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dugan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Dugan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dugan decides to stand back up. Pawlak wants to clinch. Dugan closes the distance and clinches. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dugan pressing his opponent against the cage. Dugan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pawlak prevents it.

Pawlak lands an elbow that stopped Dugan in his tracks for a moment. Dugan can't break the clinch.
Pawlak tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dugan just stands there and leans against the cage. Pawlak is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dugan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Dugan manages to break the clinch.
Pawlak looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dugan has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pawlak tries a body shot but Dugan blocks it.

Pawlak letting Dugan take a breather here. Dugan is looking to take this one to the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pawlak working hard to break the clinch. Dugan displaying some good clinch control by pressing Pawlak up against the cage. Pawlak jumps guard but Dugan stands there with Pawlak around his waist. Pawlak gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Matthew Dugan will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Dugan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dugan wants it to stay on the feet. Dugan closes the distance and clinches up with Pawlak, looking for a takedown. Dugan pushes Pawlak against the cage but Pawlak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mateusz Pawlak seems to be getting the better of the standup. Pawlak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dugan tries to avoid it but Pawlak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dugan to the ground. Dugan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pawlak tries to clinch but Dugan is having none of it. Dugan avoids the head kick by Pawlak.
Pawlak shoots in for a takedown but Dugan shows good takedown defense. Matthew Dugan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mateusz Pawlak. Pawlak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dugan paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pawlak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dugan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pawlak but Pawlak pushes him off and we're back to square one. Dugan tries to clinch up but Pawlak circles away and keeps his distance. Dugan throws a combination that misses and Dugan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pawlak shoots in and drives through. Dugan sprawls well. Pawlak tries for a takedown but Dugan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Dugan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dugan clinches up with Pawlak and pushes him back against the cage. Good body shot from Dugan.
Dugan drags the fight down to the ground.
Pawlak trying to control but Dugan is working from the bottom. Dugan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pawlak is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pawlak is looking to work some ground and pound but Dugan has wrist control. Dugan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Pawlak is trying to control but Dugan manages to pass to mount!
Pawlak is squirming around, avoiding Dugan's attempts to control the action. Dugan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Pawlak is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pawlak wants to control but Dugan is having none of it. Pawlak avoids a series of strikes thrown by Dugan.
Pawlak is trying to reverse the position but instead Dugan has taken his back - oops! Pawlak can't escape the position.
Dugan lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
A lull in the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Pawlak's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dugan patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Dugan is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

And that's the end of the fight! Matthew Dugan showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dugan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
