Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Richard Redhair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andrey Melnichenko!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redhair stuffs the takedown attempt from Melnichenko. Melnichenko gets slowly back to his feet.
Melnichenko forces Redhair back against the cage and clinches.
Redhair drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Melnichenko gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Melnichenko tries to score a body lock takedown but Redhair shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Melnichenko manages to break the clinch.
Andrey Melnichenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Melnichenko misses with a takedown attempt
and Redhair counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Richard Redhair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrey Melnichenko.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Redhair wants to pass the guard but Melnichenko is defending well.
Redhair content to control rather than advance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Richard Redhair.
Redhair closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Melnichenko is trying to escape back to his feet but Redhair uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Redhair is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Melnichenko will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
