Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
30 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Charlie McGregor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ouriel Semiazas!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from McGregor does no damage.
McGregor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McGregor takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
McGregor misses with a few strikes there.
McGregor swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McGregor fails with the takedown.
McGregor motions for Semiazas to come forward. McGregor throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Semiazas just misses with a punch to the body.
Semiazas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McGregor throws a head kick that misses.
Some wild striking there from McGregor.
Good leg kick by Semiazas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Semiazas feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McGregor sprawling to the canvas! McGregor rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Semiazas finish him?!
It looks like Charlie McGregor has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McGregor throws a lazy head kick
and Semiazas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McGregor thinking.
McGregor throws a left and a right that both miss
and Semiazas counters with a big right hand! Oh McGregor is in trouble here! Semiazas follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ouriel Semiazas!
An out of breath Ouriel Semiazas thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
