The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Reyes to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Reyes loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Reyes tries to free his leg and advance position but Pettis is retaining full guard.
Pettis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Reyes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
