Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Iain Durrant!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Durrant has a takedown stuffed.
Durrant throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson.
Durrant tries to clinch there but Jackson circles away.
Durrant takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jackson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Durrant tries to clinch but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Durrant counters with a single leg into guard. Jackson didn't expect that.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Durrant wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position.

Durrant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Durrant counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard.
Durrant won't allow Jackson to get back to his feet.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Durrant on the ground.

Durrant is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jackson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jackson has escaped and now he's on top!

Jackson stands up from Durrant's guard - Jackson perhaps looking for a knockout.
Durrant closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Durrant pushes Jackson against the ropes but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Durrant bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Durrant takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Jackson throws a right hand that Durrant ducks under and follows up with a left that Durrant also avoids with ease.
Durrant on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jackson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Cody Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iain Durrant.

Durrant shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.
Jackson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Durrant looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

so Durrant counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jackson looking for a sweep. Not yet Jackson, not yet.
Durrant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Durrant has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Durrant is on top in guard.
Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Durrant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Durrant is keen to just control but Jackson is a slippery customer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Durrant thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Durrant wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Durrant drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jackson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jackson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jackson!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jackson decides to stand back up. Jackson steps back and let's Durrant get back to his feet.
Jackson misses with a jab, cross combination.

Jackson lands a nice looking body shot.
Jackson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Durrant is out of range and Jackson settles back down.

Durrant shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.

Nice takedown defense from Jackson. No joy for Durrant on that attempt.
Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Durrant is just out of range.

Durrant shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Iain Durrant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Durrant shoots in and bounces Jackson off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Durrant is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Durrant is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jackson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Durrant gets his head over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jackson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Durrant lets go of the hold and Jackson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
