Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Meguru Takayanagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davi Unlovaco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Meguru Takayanagi has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Meguru Takayanagi seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Meguru Takayanagi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Davi Unlovaco! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Unlovaco fails with the takedown and Takayanagi counters with a nice uppercut. Unlovaco shoots in and drives through. Takayanagi sprawls well. Unlovaco misses with a takedown attempt and Unlovaco takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Meguru Takayanagi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davi Unlovaco. The fighters circling - Takayanagi throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Takayanagi with a nice cross. Unlovaco shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Takayanagi as he avoids it easily. Takayanagi stuffs the takedown attempt from Unlovaco. Unlovaco gets slowly back to his feet. Unlovaco throws a head kick but Takayanagi moves out of range.
Unlovaco gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Takayanagi counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Takayanagi. Takayanagi cracks Unlovaco with a nice body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takayanagi lands an uppercut. Takayanagi lands a shoulder strike. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Takayanagi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Unlovaco drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Takayanagi gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Unlovaco takes a shot to the head. Takayanagi lands a hook that snaps the head of Unlovaco backwards. Takayanagi softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Unlovaco is rocked! Unlovaco tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Unlovaco is still on wobbly legs! Can Takayanagi finish him? Takayanagi lands a body punch in the clinch. Takayanagi digs a right hand underneath Unlovaco's ribcage. Unlovaco let out a lung full of air as it connected. Unlovaco jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Takayanagi walks away with a smile on his face. Unlovaco gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Takayanagi lands a body shot.
Unlovaco seems to have recovered his senses. Unlovaco looks winded! Unlovaco has his takedown stuffed and Takayanagi counters with a nice uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Takayanagi works Unlovaco's body with a nice hook. Takayanagi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Unlovaco tries for a takedown but Takayanagi circles away easily and Takayanagi counters with a nice uppercut. Unlovaco on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Unlovaco shoots and misses enabling Takayanagi to counter with a crisp jab. Takayanagi throws a monster overhand right that drops Unlovaco! Takayanagi follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Meguru Takayanagi! Meguru Takayanagi really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fury Nutrition Inc. logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
