Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lee Brakker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Stapinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brakker clinches up with Stapinski and pushes him back against the cage. Brakker breaks from the clinch.
Stapinski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brakker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Stapinski trying to control the position but Brakker is working away. Brakker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stapinski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. That's one minute gone in the round. Stapinski has knee on belly and moves into mount. Stapinski has control of Brakker's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Brakker regains control of the situation pretty easily.

He's simply no match for Stapinski on the ground. Brakker really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Stapinski landing strikes from the mount and Brakker is in trouble! Stapinski thowing shots but they're missing. Brakker wants to hold on but Stapinski pushes him away. Stapinski goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Brakker turns into him and now he's in Stapinski's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brakker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Stapinski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brakker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brakker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Brakker wants to control from the top but Stapinski keeps moving. Brakker wants to stand but Stapinski is controlling his posture from full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stapinski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. No luck for Brakker with that takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brakker. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Brakker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stapinski is fending him off so far but Brakker persists. Nope, Stapinski circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Brakker. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brakker fails with the takedown. Brakker tries to clinch but Stapinski is having none of it. Lee Brakker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brakker misses with a takedown and Stapinski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Brakker manages to escape and get back to his feet! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stapinski looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Stapinski wants to take a breather but Brakker is having none of it. Daniel Stapinski has got the better of the ground game so far.

Stapinski seems to be working for a kimura but Brakker defends the submission attempt. Stapinski wants to control but Brakker is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stapinski sitting and controlling from the half guard. Stapinski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brakker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel Stapinski was stalling too much, according to the referee. Stapinski blocks a head kick by Brakker.
Brakker doesn't succeed with the takedown and Stapinski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brakker's guard now. Stapinski wants to control from the top but Brakker keeps moving. Brakker wants to control the position but Stapinski says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stapinski is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stapinski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brakker keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Stapinski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Stapinski stuffs the takedown attempt from Brakker. Brakker gets slowly back to his feet. Brakker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brakker wants it to stay on the feet. Stapinski looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Brakker fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Brakker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stapinski as he jumps to the side. Stapinski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brakker. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Brakker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brakker shoots in looking for a takedown. Stapinski tries to sprawl out of it but Brakker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stapinski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Brakker wants to clinch up but Stapinski keeps it at a distance. Brakker clinches. Stapinski is looking to control Brakker's arms but Brakker gets an underhook and turns him. Now Stapinski has his back to the cage. Stapinski has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brakker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Brakker can't get the takedown.
Brakker drops down looking for an ankle pick but Stapinski pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brakker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Stapinski shoots in for a takedown but Brakker shows good takedown defense. Stapinski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brakker's guard. Stapinski looking to sit in guard and control but Brakker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Stapinski looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stapinski keeping moving, preventing Brakker from controlling successfully. Stapinski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brakker defends well. This has been an exciting period of action! Stapinski has his foot on Brakker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brakker works his way back into a safe position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stapinski pushes a forearm under Brakker's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Brakker is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
