Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Glenn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Forbes!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forbes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Glenn.
Sloppy strikes from Forbes. Those never looked like landing.
Edward Forbes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Forbes avoids the body shot from Glenn.
Forbes misses with a combination

and Glenn counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Glenn wants to pass the guard but Forbes is keeping the position.
Glenn cracks Forbes with a solid left hand.
Glenn works over Forbes with some ground and pound from guard.
Forbes is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Glenn trying to control the position from guard on top but Forbes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Glenn with a nice head shot there.

Glenn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Glenn stops Forbes from standing up.
Glenn working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Glenn working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Forbes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Glenn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Glenn drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Forbes dives on top into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Glenn seems keen to control Forbes's posture.
Forbes preventing the sweep.
Forbes is looking to stand up but Glenn won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Glenn is looking to sinch up a triangle. Forbes throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Glenn's body to avoid the submission. Glenn has instead reached around Forbes's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Glenn arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Robert Glenn!
An out of breath Robert Glenn thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
