Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Kaleza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ron Kaleza has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jesse Carver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ron Kaleza! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaleza gets a clinch. Carver takes a knee right on the jaw!
Kaleza is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Carver is defending well for now. Kaleza throws a knee to the head but misses.
Carver blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Kaleza tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Still in the clinch, Kaleza scores with a nice short uppercut. A head punch blocked on the inside by Carver. Carver wants the takedown. Kaleza is fighting it off but Carver persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kaleza's guard against the cage. Carver throwing strikes but missing. Carver scoring with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kaleza can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carver controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaleza can't keep his opponent in guard - Carver advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Carver works his way into side control. Carver working the ground and pound. Carver is staying tight to Kaleza's torso, preventing him from escaping. Kaleza taking a bit of punishment here - Carver scoring with strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kaleza can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carver working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Kaleza looks winded! Carver remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Carver lands a few punches from side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kaleza is being controlled here.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jesse Carver wasn't doing enough on the ground. Horrible takedown by Carver or perhaps it was just good defense by Kaleza which made him look bad. Carver instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carver gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Carver moves nicely into side control. Carver has an Americana. Kaleza didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Carver is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Carver hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jesse Carver! A very excited looking Jesse Carver made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
