Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dennins Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hale has chosen Pillar - For Love Of The Game as his entrance music. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Brandon Hale has the better chin. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dennins Daniels! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Hale! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hale scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hale uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Daniels has time to react. Daniels takes one to the chin there.
Daniels is rocked! Hale stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hale wants it to stay on the feet. Hale throws a hook but Daniels avoids it easily. Hale gets caught flat footed, as Daniels shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Daniels throws a big right hand that misses. Daniels has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Daniels trying to control but Hale is working from the bottom. Hale wants to sweep but no luck. Daniels controlling from the top position. Hale keeping moving, preventing Daniels from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hale can do anything to dispel that myth. Daniels stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hale swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hale is striking from the bottom but Daniels uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Hale gets full guard. Hale is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daniels pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hale is keeping the position for now. Hale manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Daniels manages to get himself to full guard.
Hale advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hale's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hale's back! Hale is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Daniels gets his way!
Hale has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Daniels. Daniels lands a shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hale tries to escape but Daniels has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Daniels looking for the choke but no joy. Daniels punches the canvas rather than the man. Hale trying to control the hands but Daniels breaks the grip.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels is punishing Hale with some ground and pound. Daniels scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Hale is looking for a way out. Daniels trying to control. Daniels is trying to stick to Hale's back but Hale is turning into Daniels. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Daniels's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hale. Daniels trying to keep a closed guard but Hale is proving a slippery customer.
Daniels is controlling Hale's posture. Daniels throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daniels keeping full guard, as Hale tries to pass. Hale in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hale wants to get up but he can't break Daniels's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Daniels is pulling down on Hale's head to control his posture. Daniels trying to keep a closed guard but Hale is proving a slippery customer.

This has been an exciting period of action! Hale wants to control from the top but Daniels keeps moving. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hale rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daniels moves out of range and avoids them all easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dennins Daniels will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hale scores with the left hand. Daniels knows he should have avoided that one. Hale digs a good body shot into Daniels's ribs. Hale will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Daniels swings for the body but Hale moves out of range.
Daniels moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Hale throws a hook but Daniels avoids it easily. Daniels takes one to the chin there. Hale throws out a loose jab but Daniels uses good head movement to avoid it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Daniels ducks under a wild hook from Hale. Brandon Hale seems to be getting the better of the standup. Daniels tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hale swivels and escapes. Hale misses with a hook. Daniels ducked under it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels with a lazy takedown attempt and Hale counters with a nice uppercut. Oh Daniels is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Daniels slips under a jab. Daniels seems to have got his legs back now. Hale ducks under a wild hook from Daniels. Hale is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Daniels. Hale misses with a jab, cross combination.
Daniels tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hale was well out of range. Poor timing from Daniels. Brandon Hale is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hale takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hale staying out of range there. Daniels walks into a stiff left hand from Hale. Daniels's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hale connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Daniels scrambles back to his feet. Daniels misses with a left hand and Hale scores with a counter punch that sends Daniels to the canvas! Hale smells blood - he's punishing Daniels with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Daniels has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Hale! Brandon Hale retains his welterweight title!
