PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Felix Cardosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Hazuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cardosa comes to the cage accompanied by Pennywise - Bro Hymn. Hazuki has chosen Gaff's Eulogy by Andrew Bayer as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ryo Hazuki will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Felix Cardosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryo Hazuki!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazuki throws a chopping leg kick but Cardosa manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Hazuki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cardosa was well out of range. Poor timing from Hazuki.
Cardosa tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hazuki is able to avoid easily.
Cardosa lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Cardosa takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Some wild striking there from Hazuki.
Cardosa digs a good body shot into Hazuki's ribs.
Cardosa connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Crunch! Cardosa slams his shin into Hazuki's torso.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cardosa takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Hazuki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cardosa is controlling him.

Cardosa throws a strike but Hazuki rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Cardosa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hazuki decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Cardosa tries a head kick but it misses.
Hazuki jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hazuki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The fighters circling - Cardosa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Ryo Hazuki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hazuki checks a leg kick.
Cardosa takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Hazuki chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cardosa can pounce on him.

Cardosa darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hazuki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cardosa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cardosa is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Hazuki's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Hazuki lands a really nice looking cross but Cardosa seems unphased.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Felix Cardosa will probably get the nod.

and Hazuki counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Cardosa! He's just covering up as Hazuki starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

A very excited looking Ryo Hazuki made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
