The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hassan tries to bum rush Kalnoky with a series of wild strikes but Kalnoky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sloppy strikes from Hassan. Those never looked like landing.
Hashim Jalilul Hassan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hassan throws a nice looking combination but Kalnoky bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Kalnoky closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hassan did well to prevent Kalnoky getting side control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tomas Kalnoky hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Hassan is desperately trying to improve his position but Kalnoky has a good base and remains in mount.
Kalnoky wants to take Hassan's back here but Hassan is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Kalnoky looking for a guillotine from mount but Hassan is having none of it.

Hassan tries to hold on but Kalnoky pushes him away.

Hassan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hassan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kalnoky!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hassan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tomas Kalnoky will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Kalnoky shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kalnoky was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hassan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kalnoky has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Hassan is not content to let Kalnoky control the position.
You can see the frustration on Hassan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hassan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kalnoky is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Kalnoky tries to advance to mount but can't.
Hassan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Hassan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Hassan is looking to work some ground and pound but Kalnoky has wrist control.

Kalnoky looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hassan is defending well. Kalnoky quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hassan has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kalnoky celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
