Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Bellator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Zalk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bellator changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zalk tries to avoid it but Bellator manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zalk to the ground. Zalk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bellator has Zalk up against the cage in a clinch.
Zalk looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Zalk tries to break free but Bellator pushes him back against the cage. Zalk decides to pull guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Bellator postures up.
Bellator looking to pass the guard. Bellator in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Zalk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bellator is one step ahead there. Zalk is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Zalk is looking for a triangle here but Bellator uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bellator landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Bellator laying and praying for a moment but Zalk takes advantage and regains half guard. Bellator is working for a submission of some sort.

Zalk on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Bellator could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bellator stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zalk is looking to improve his position.
Still in half guard, Bellator seems content to control. Bellator sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Zalk defending well though. Zalk is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bellator works his way into side control. Bellator lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. This has been an exciting period of action! Bellator working the head with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zalk is pushing Bellator's head away, looking to escape. Bellator manages to hold on to the position though. Zalk taking punishment in the form of punches.
Bellator landing a few strikes. Bellator trying to control the position but Zalk is working away. Zalk struggling a bit here. Bellator scoring with punches from side control. Zalk looks winded! Bellator tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Bellator is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Zalk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bellator wants to stand but Zalk is controlling his arm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zalk wants to control but Bellator postures up. Sloppy strikes there by Bellator. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zalk is trying to control Bellator's posture but Bellator avoids it. Bellator lands a decent elbow from side control. Bellator goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Zalk has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bellator but great work by Zalk. Bellator is trying to get back to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zalk is looking to take a break and control but Bellator is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tiago Bellator dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Zalk shoots for a takedown but Bellator saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tiago Bellator is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zalk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bellator manages to work his way to half guard, despite Zalk's best efforts. Bellator wants to get back to full guard. Bellator on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bellator tries to get out of the position. Bellator is looking to escape. Zalk drops an elbow to the side of Bellator's head. Zalk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bellator gets back to full guard.
Bellator manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bellator raining down hammerfists from mount. Bellator prevents Zalk from getting the reversal. Bellator with the ground and pound from mount. Bellator dominating with strikes here. Bellator has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Zalk is breathing heavily. Bellator is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Zalk has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Zalk! Tiago Bellator overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bellator is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zalk slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bellator trying to control the position.
This has been an exciting period of action! Bellator is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zalk is controlling him. Zalk trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bellator is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tiago Bellator. Zalk clinches. Bellator pulls guard successfully.
Zalk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bellator looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Zalk puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Zalk tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Bellator is pressing down on Zalk's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bellator throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Zalk looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bellator looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Zalk advances position into side control! Zalk goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bellator has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Nice takedown defense from Zalk. No joy for Bellator on that attempt. Zalk clinches up with Bellator and pushes him back against the cage. Zalk is defending well against a takedown attempt. Zalk turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Bellator wants to control but Zalk postures up. Bellator is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Zalk is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Zalk looking to control and managing it successfully. Zalk is looking to stand but Zalk has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zalk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bellator is looking to escape. Bellator slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Bellator makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bellator. Bellator wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bellator keeping moving, preventing Zalk from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bellator is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Zalk wants to control from the top but Bellator keeps moving. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Brandon Zalk hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bellator is trying hard to land a takedown here. Zalk sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tiago Bellator. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zalk shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zalk showed some decent athleticism there. Bellator is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zalk trying to control the action but Bellator is working from the bottom. Bellator keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Zalk looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bellator is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zalk pulls his head out easily. Bellator trying to control but Zalk postures up.
Bellator tries to roll over but Zalk keeps him under control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zalk keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Brandon Zalk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tiago Bellator is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Zalk swinging wildly here.
And that's the end of the fight! Brandon Zalk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bellator has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
