The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bastard rushes Dexter and presses him up against the cage.
Dexter misses with a hook from the clinch.

Dexter tries to work over Bastard's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A left hand lands to the body for Dexter.
Bastard tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dexter's elbow.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Bastard.

Dexter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bastard wants to clinch up but Dexter keeps it at a distance.
Dexter works over Bastard's head and body with a nice combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bastard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dexter tries to avoid it but Bastard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dexter to the ground. Dexter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dexter has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bastard is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dexter.
Bastard lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dexter down.
