Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samvesu tries for a takedown but Mercury sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Samvesu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mercury defends it nicely.
Mercury stuffs the takedown.
Pete Mercury has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emunn Samvesu.

A punch lands to the side of Samvesu 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mercury looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Samvesu walks into a left hand.
Mercury fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Samvesu to the ground. Mercury is now in Samvesu's guard.

Samvesu swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mercury is now in Samvesu's guard. A big mistake from Samvesu there, giving up the dominant position!
