Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Arona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arona lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Power circles away quickly and effectively.
Arona misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Power misses with a takedown attempt - Arona sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A shot to the liver by Arona. Beautiful body shot.
Power pushes Arona up against the cage in a clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Power blocking some punches.
Power lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Arona trying to control from the bottom.
Arona is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Power pulls his head out easily.
Arona pushes Power off looking to stand but Power dives back in and keeps control.
Power is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Arona has managed to free his arm - good work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Power wants to control but Arona is keeping him busy.
Arona flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Arona has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Power is working away from the top position though.
Arona moves into full guard.
Arona is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Power looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Arona is working an open guard so Power takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Power has taken the fight to the clinch.
Power tries to land a knee to the head but Arona blocks with his arms.
Arona misses with a short punch on the inside.
Arona has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Power after a bit of a struggle.
Arona is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Power gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Arona looks winded!
Power blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Power drops down looking for an ankle pick but Arona pulls his leg out and moves away.
Power throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Arona's waist but Arona gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Power off to one side.

Power takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Arona works his way to full guard. Good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arona looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Arona controls Power momentarily but Power frees himself.
Power showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Power content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Power with a flurry of punches that miss.
Power won't allow Arona to sweep him here.
Arona has his foot on Power's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Power works his way back into a safe position though.
Power gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Power tries to score a power double leg takedown but Arona sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Power somewhat.
Power shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Arona as he jumps to the side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Power fails with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Scott Power will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Arona throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Power stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Power shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Arona as he avoids it easily.
Power misses with a double jab
and Arona counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Power takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Arona moves in looking to clinch but Power pushes him off.
Power tries to close the distance and clinch up but Arona swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Power tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Arona counters with a series of strikes. Power will be more careful next time no doubt.

Arona throws a right hand that Power ducks under and follows up with a left that Power also avoids with ease.
Power shoots in for a takedown but Arona shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Arona shoots in but Power avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Arona rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Power moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Arona counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Power thinking.

Arona shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Power is trying to defend but Arona finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Arona wants to lay and pray for a moment but Power keeps working.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Power is looking to control Arona's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Power avoid being mounted?
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Arona is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Power is looking for a sweep. Arona is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Power moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Power bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Arona's guard.
Arona is trying to keep Power in close.
Power postures up in Arona's guard and throws a big left but Arona blocks it.
Power trying to control the position from guard on top but Arona is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Arona is on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Arona looking to sit in guard and control but Power gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Arona is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Power defends well.

Victor Arona showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Scott Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Power dives in and grabs Arona's left leg, looking for a takedown. Arona pushes down on Power's head and hops out.

Arona moves into range and connects with a jab.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Arona. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Arona feints a jab promting Power to slip. Arona then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Power slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Arona shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Power sprawls well. Power wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Arona gets slowly back to his feet.

I think Arona has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
