Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiemon Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Silva is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Simmons asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Silva is looking to regain half guard here but Simmons keeps moving and retains side control.

Simmons tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Simmons has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Simmons's guard.

Simmons had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silva defends it easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Simmons changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Simmons is retaining full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
