Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raijin Thunderkeg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New York (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raijin Thunderkeg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, New York!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
York shoots in looking for a takedown but Thunderkeg manages to keep the fight standing, pushing York's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
York throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
York throws a sloppy head kick
and Thunderkeg counters with a head kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
York shoots in and drives through. Thunderkeg sprawls well.
York shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thunderkeg but Thunderkeg pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Raijin Thunderkeg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New York.
York misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thunderkeg.
York tries to close the distance and clinch but Thunderkeg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
York tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thunderkeg swivels and escapes.
York tries to clinch but Thunderkeg is having none of it.
York closes the distance and clinches up with Thunderkeg, looking for a takedown. York pushes Thunderkeg against the cage but Thunderkeg circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
York throws a head kick that misses.
Thunderkeg displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from York.
Thunderkeg could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Thunderkeg gets caught flat footed, as York shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
York postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Thunderkeg wants to stand and escape but York is having none of it.
York is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Thunderkeg trying to keep a closed guard but York is proving a slippery customer.

York drops back looking for a leg! Thunderkeg is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thunderkeg manages to kick York off! York jumps back into Thunderkeg's guard.

York forces his way into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
York is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
York tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
York landing shots from mount.
Thunderkeg tries to hold on but York pushes him away.
York scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Thunderkeg?

Thunderkeg has left one of his arms exposed and York doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Thunderkeg screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). New York!
Our winner, New York, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
