Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamland misses with a jab to the body
and Ellison counters with a big head kick but Tamland shrugs it off.
Ellison gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tamland counters with a single leg into guard. Ellison didn't expect that.
Tamland slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Tamland postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ellison is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tamland, into his guard.
Tamland looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ellison could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Tamland working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ellison doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Tamland is tightening it up a little... Ellison has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ellison reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ellison taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tamland!
