The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ice Cream throws a nice inside leg kick.
Ice Cream lands with a kick to the temple. Kirovski shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Alex Kirovski has been cut.

Ice Cream dives in and scores a takedown into Kirovski 's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ice Cream slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Ice Cream wants to get up but he can't break Kirovski 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ice Cream is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kirovski is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kirovski has escaped and now he's on top!

Kirovski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ice Cream wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Ice Cream tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ice Cream has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ice Cream thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ice Cream decides to take the fight back to the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
