Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Turner!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sampson slips under a jab.
Turner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sampson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Turner tries a head kick but it misses.

Sampson clinches.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Sampson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Turner's brow.
A short right from Sampson.
Turner tries to break the clinch but Sampson is controlling the position.
Sampson misses with a knee to the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Turner has Sampson pressed against the cage, preventing Sampson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Turner wants to get back to striking at distance but Sampson won't allow it.
Turner wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sampson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Turner has him pressed against the cage.

Sampson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Turner was well out of range. Poor timing from Sampson.

Sampson throws out a head kick that Turner doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Turner crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Turner's eyes and has decided to let it go on!


It looks like Tommy Turner has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sampson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Sampson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Turner tries to clinch but Sampson is having none of it.

Turner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Turner is trying to force a seperation but Sampson has the dominant position.
The referee calls for Turner to work.

Sampson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sampson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turner paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sampson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Sampson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Turner tries to clinch up but Sampson circles away and keeps his distance.

Sampson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Turner is looking to break free of the clinch but Sampson has double underhooks.

Sampson has Turner up against the cage in a clinch.
Sampson blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Sampson breaks from the clinch.
Sampson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Turner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Turner closes the distance but Sampson moves to the side

and as Turner resets, Sampson pounces with a savage head kick that drops Turner to the mat! Turner looks wobbly but gets back to his feet on the count of 5. The referee continues the count to 8 then steps aside to let these two guys get back at it!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Sampson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Turner darts in trying to clinch
and Sampson counters with a nice uppercut.
Sampson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Turner counters with a nice kick to the body.
Turner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Sampson rushes Turner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Turner is looking to break free of the clinch but Sampson has double underhooks.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Turner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sampson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sampson lands a head kick. Turner smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dylan Sampson takes that one as he scored multiple knockdowns. Tommy Turner was lucky to get out of the first round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Sampson counters by moving into the clinch.
Turner tries to stall but Sampson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sampson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Turner.
Turner keeps the fight on the outside.

That kick from Sampson tenderised Turner's leg. Turner is trying to keep his angry face on.
Turner throws a one two combo.
Sampson moves in looking to clinch but Turner pushes him off.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Turner misses with a low kick as Sampson jumps back.
Sampson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Turner wants to clinch up but Sampson keeps it at a distance.
Turner throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sampson makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Turner really felt that one!
Sampson clobbers Turner with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Turner is breathing heavily.
Sampson lands a jab-cross combination.

Sampson scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Turner to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Sampson away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Turner got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sampson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Turner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Well Sampson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
