Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Sterns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kylian Kirkham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirkham has chosen Hunt You Down as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kylian Kirkham looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ed Sterns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kylian Kirkham! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sterns clinches up with Kirkham and pushes him back against the cage. Kirkham looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sterns is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kirkham can't fight it off and eventually Sterns manages to take the fight to the floor. Kirkham looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sterns missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sterns looking to pass the guard. Sterns slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sterns is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kirkham has escaped the position, nice work there. Sterns thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sterns throwing shots but missing, from side control. Sterns in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Sterns scoring with punches and elbows. Sterns scores with a couple of short elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sterns tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Kirkham takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Sterns is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Kirkham is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sterns is looking to take a break and control but Kirkham is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sterns looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kirkham tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sterns wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Sterns scoring with punches from side control. Kirkham trying to remain calm as Sterns controls from the top position. Sterns wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kirkham keeps working.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ed Sterns just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Sterns shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sterns was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sterns landing strikes from the mount. Sterns lands a big elbow.
It looks like Kylian Kirkham has been cut. Sterns scoring with strikes but Kirkham is staying in there. Sterns with a couple of short strikes.
Kirkham is rocked! Sterns working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Kirkham looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Sterns! Submission of the night perhaps?
