Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erwin Hartmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcos Alejandro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hartmann kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erwin Hartmann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcos Alejandro! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alejandro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hartmann counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Marcos Alejandro has been cut. Hartmann lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Alejandro closes the distance and pushes Hartmann back into the ropes. Hartmann tightens his grip and picks Alejandro up, before dumping him to the ground. Alejandro manages to land in guard. Hartmann wants to control from the top but Alejandro keeps moving. Alejandro looking for a guillotine here but Hartmann defends easily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Alejandro utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hartmann has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hartmann engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Hartmann wants to control from the top but Alejandro keeps moving. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Alejandro working a defensive guard here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Alejandro forces Hartmann back against the ropes and clinches. Alejandro throws an elbow but it misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hartmann misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Alejandro.

He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Alejandro takes an elbow to the temple. Alejandro has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hartmann regains guard immediately. Hartmann controls Alejandro momentarily but Alejandro frees himself. Hartmann is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Alejandro works his way to full guard. Good work. Hartmann got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alejandro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hartmann has managed to get both his arms back between Alejandro's legs - danger averted. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hartmann is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Alejandro on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Hartmann is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hartmann tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alejandro knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Hartmann frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Erwin Hartmann dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A shot in the inside from Hartmann. With the fighters up against the ropes, Alejandro throws an elbow but misses. Alejandro misses with a knee to the head. Hartmann gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Alejandro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Alejandro is breathing heavily. Hartmann wants to control from the top but Alejandro keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Erwin Hartmann. Alejandro clinches with his opponent.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Still in half guard, Hartmann seems content to control. Hartmann is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Alejandro defends it well. Hartmann prevents Alejandro from improving his position. Alejandro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alejandro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hartmann trying to keep a closed guard but Alejandro is proving a slippery customer.

That has opened up Marcos Alejandro's cut even more. Hartmann manages to capitalize on a mistake by Alejandro to take his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hartmann controls the position. Alejandro is trying to remain composed but Hartmann is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
The cut above Marcos Alejandro's eye is starting to cause him problems now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hartmann lands with a hammerfist to the side of Alejandro's head. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Alejandro defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hartmann's arms. Hartmann is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alejandro can do to turn this around? Hartmann lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Alejandro.
