Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Thompson, pushing him back against the ropes.
Thompson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Perez throws a knee to the head but misses.
Perez lands a knee to the head.
It looks like John Thompson has been cut.
Perez with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Thompson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Thompson throws a head punch that misses.
Perez tries a knee to the head but Thompson blocks it.
Thompson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Thompson is trying to break the clinch but Perez is controlling him.

Thompson jumps guard but Perez stands there with Thompson around his waist. Thompson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A nice right hand lands inside from Perez.

Perez lands an elbow that stopped Thompson in his tracks for a moment.

Perez pushes Thompson back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Perez drops Thompson onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Thompson is propped up by the ropes and works his way back to his feet!

Perez throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Thompson blocks it with crossed arms.

Perez lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Perez tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Perez swings wildly with an uppercut but Thompson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Perez misses with a short punch on the inside.
Perez tries a knee to the head but Thompson blocks it.
Thompson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Perez's elbow.
Thompson is trying to pull guard but Perez has him pressed against the ropes.

Perez using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Thompson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Perez has Thompson pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. Thompson is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Perez - that's hurt Thompson badly! Oh, another knee lands and Thompson is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Thompson doesn't seem to be complaining.
