Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeremy Brow !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Logins!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Logins keeps the fight on the outside.
Brow shoots and misses
and Logins counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Brow gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Logins counters with a series of strikes. Brow will be more careful next time no doubt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
An inside leg kick from Logins misses.
Brow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Logins counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Brow . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brow is breathing heavily.
Logins misses with a few strikes there.
Brow takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Logins throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Logins drops Brow with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Brow looks back up at him and smiles so Logins waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Brow is rocked!
Logins forces Brow back against the cage and clinches.
Logins wants to break free but Brow has control.
Logins tries to break the clinch but Brow is controlling the position.
Logins is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Brow can't fight it off and eventually Logins manages to take the fight to the floor. Brow looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Brow has a closed guard, preventing Logins from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brow keeping moving, preventing Logins from controlling successfully.
Brow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Brow throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Logins controls from within his opponent's guard.
Logins with a nice head shot there.
Logins slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Logins decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brow , up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brow misses with a takedown
and Logins counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Brow badly! He tries to strike back but Logins puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Brow out cold! Oh man, Brow will never hear the end of this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). David Logins!
David Logins really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Namunamu Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
