Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russell Ives (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Ryan Devolder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devolder has chosen 'I'm A Big Kid Now' as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devolder looks to score with a jab to the body but Ives is just out of range.
Devolder shoots in and drives through. Ives sprawls well.
Ives looks to land a right hand but Devolder moved out of range.
Mark Ryan Devolder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ives lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Devolder at a distance.
Ives uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Devolder.
Devolder throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ives connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Devolder moves away from the strike by Ives.
Devolder shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ives counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Devolder displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ives throws out the jab.
Devolder misses the jab.
Ives lands a really nice looking cross but Devolder seems unphased.
Devolder shoots in for a takedown but Ives shows good takedown defense.
Russell Ives has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Ryan Devolder.

A decent looking cross lands there for Ives.
Ives feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Devolders jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Ives connects with a right that clearly hurt Devolder. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Ives proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Devolder collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Russell Ives!
