The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva with a poor takedown
and Steele decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Silva pulls Steele in to control the position.
Steele is in close to Silva's body, working some short punches and elbows.
It looks like Braun Silva has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steele controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Steele in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Steele should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Silva has tightened it up now! Steele should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
