PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kofi Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Professor Nude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kofi Kingston has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kofi Kingston seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Professor Nude!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nude misses with a wild combination.
Nude looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kingston keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nude.
Kingston dodges the punch combination from Nude.
Kingston with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kingston tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nude swivels and escapes.
Kingston changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nude tries to avoid it but Kingston manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nude to the ground. Nude escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kingston shoots for a takedown but Nude saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kofi Kingston. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nude looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kingston shoots in for a takedown but Nude shows good takedown defense.

Kingston changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nude looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kingston staying calm.
Nude is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Kingston tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kingston content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Kingston lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Nude down.
Nude seems a little lost for a moment, as Kingston dominates the positioning.
Kingston will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kingston lands a few punches from side control.

Kingston has hold of Nude's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Nude seems comfortable defending it but Kingston has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Nude is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Nude is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kingston couldn't care less - he's delighted!
