The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Johnson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Johnson scores with a jab. Montferrand acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Montferrand drops his hands momentarily and Johnson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Montferrand takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Montferrand looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Johnson is pawing at Montferrand, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Montferrand's nose. Montferrand is badly hurt! Johnson pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Montferrand tries desperately to hold on but Johnson is relentless in his assault! As Montferrand receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Johnson away and this one is in the books!
