Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Macaijah Cogdill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Marston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cogdill misses with the combination.

Cogdill walks into a jab.
Marston blocks a head kick by Cogdill.

Marston gets a clinch.

Marston breaks the clinch.
Cogdill throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cogdill throws a series of punches but Marston avoids them all with ease.

Marston closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Let's hope that Marston has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Marston wants to stand but Cogdill is controlling his arm.
Marston tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Cogdill knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marston on the ground.
Marston wants to stand but Cogdill has his arm trapped.
Marston has control of an arm but Cogdill manages to advance to Marston's back!
Cogdill is controlling the position but Marston somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Cogdill will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Marston is looking to control Cogdill's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Marston avoid being mounted?
Cogdill thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marston's head.
Marston is looking to escape.
Marston is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Cogdill thows a huge punch but Marston dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marston tries to roll over but Cogdill keeps him under control.
Cogdill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Marston is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Marston has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Cogdill should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Marston has tightened it up now! Cogdill should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
