Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Okabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Zenin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zenin has chosen Helloween - Power as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zenin forces Okabe back against the cage and clinches.
Okabe is trying to break the clinch but Zenin has him pressed against the cage.
Okabe is trying to break free.
Zenin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Okabe is looking to take this one to the mat.
Zenin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Okabe fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Zenin jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Okabe sizes up Zenin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Zenin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Zenin throws a lazy right hand but Okabe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Zenin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Zenin lands a body shot.
Zenin looks to score with a jab to the body but Okabe is just out of range.
Okabe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Okabe lands a nice shot that snaps Zenin's head back.
Okabe fails with a takedown attempt.
Zenin shoots in for a takedown but Okabe shows good takedown defense.

Zenin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zenin looks to land a right hand but Okabe moved out of range.
Okabe looks to land a left hand but Zenin moved out of range nicely.
Zenin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Okabe pinned against the cage. Okabe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kenji Okabe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Zenin.
Zenin blocks a jab.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zenin is looking to work some ground and pound but Okabe has wrist control.

Zenin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Okabe lands a really nice looking cross but Zenin seems unphased.
Zenin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

A looping hook to the body misses from Zenin. Okabe does a little dance to reset his feet.

Zenin has a takedown stuffed.
Vladimir Zenin seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Okabe avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Zenin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Okabe was well out of range. Poor timing from Zenin.
Okabe shoots in for a takedown but Zenin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Okabe misses with a right hand
and Zenin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Okabe cracks Zenin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Zenin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kenji Okabe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Zenin.
Zenin moves out of range as Okabe strikes.
Zenin wants to clinch
and Okabe counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Zenin!
Okabe is looking to take a break and control but Zenin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Okabe advances nicely into full mount.

Zenin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Okabe is stalling here. Zenin is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Okabe seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Zenin has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
