The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hodges bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nikov moves in looking to clinch but Hodges pushes him off.
Nikov is looking to clinch.
Nikov with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hodges tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Nikov is able to avoid easily.
Nikov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Hodges tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nikov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That kick from Hodges tenderised Nikov's leg. Nikov is trying to keep his angry face on.
Nikov is looking to clinch but Hodges is avoiding it.

Kalash Nikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nikov throws a push kick but Hodges slaps the foot to one side.
Nikov cracks Hodges with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

and Hodges counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nikov's knee momentarily.

Nikov throws a series of punches but Hodges moves out of range.
Hodges takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hodges checks a leg kick.
Nikov looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Hodges misses with a looping right.
Hodges throws a head kick that misses.
Hodges fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Nikov fails to land with a series of punches.
Nikov lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Nikov tries to clinch but Hodges is having none of it.

Nikov is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nikov takes a swing at Hodges's ribcage but misses.

Nikov closes the distance and pushes Hodges back into the cage.
Nikov lands a right hand.
A frustrated look appears on Hodges's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Nikov using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hodges has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nikov looking to throw knees to the head but Hodges is blocking nicely.
Nikov keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hodges's efforts to push away.

Hodges is rocked!
Nikov working the clinch nicely. Hodges is working for position but Nikov cracks him with a big knee to the head! Hodges crumples up against the cage and Nikov lands two more shots before the ref can save Hodges! This one is all over!
