Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Solar Flair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miladin Kovacevic!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Flair. Those never looked like landing.
A low kick from Flair misses
letting Kovacevic counter with a right hand.
Flair tries to land a front kick but Kovacevic steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Flair tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kovacevic is able to avoid easily.
Kovacevic looks to score with a jab to the body but Flair is just out of range.
Kovacevic tries a head kick but it misses.
Kovacevic takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Flair throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kovacevic lands with a thumping leg kick.
Flair throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Miladin Kovacevic has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Flair closes the distance but Kovacevic moves to the side
and Flair takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Flair lands a head kick!
That kick from Kovacevic tenderised Flair's leg. Flair is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Flair moves out of range of the body kick from Kovacevic.
Flair throws a leg kick but Kovacevic checks it.
Flair misses with a jab, cross combination.
Flair moves into the clinch.
Kovacevic is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Flair swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kovacevic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Flair lands a leg kick that knocks Kovacevic off balance momentarily.
Flair throws a push kick but Kovacevic slaps the foot to one side.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Flair.
Flair tries to close the distance and clinch but Kovacevic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kovacevic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kovacevic blocks the body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Flair misses with the body kick
and Kovacevic counters with a body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Flair crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kovacevic - the referee stops the clock and Flair gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kovacevic. Flair manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Flair is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Flair scores with a leg kick.
Flair throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kovacevic counters with a nice body shot.
Kovacevic pushes Flair away with a front kick.
Kovacevic throws a head kick but Flair moves out of range.
Kovacevic throws a left that rocks Flair and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kovacevic dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Flair regain composure!
It looks like Solar Flair has been cut.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kovacevic stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Kovacevic drops Flair with a big left hand and mounts him. Flair is in big trouble!
Flair is rocked!
Kovacevic looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Flair covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miladin Kovacevic!
During a confident post fight interview, Miladin Kovacevic thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
