Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Spenser Kalkbrenner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sacha Patriotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Patriotov's choice of entrance music: Вперед!!!. Sacha Patriotov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Spenser Kalkbrenner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sacha Patriotov! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patriotov gets in close and instigates a clinch. Patriotov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Patriotov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kalkbrenner has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Patriotov is trying to keep an underhook but Kalkbrenner manages to get the takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Patriotov kicks off Kalkbrenner and gets to his feet. Kalkbrenner clinches up with Patriotov and pushes him back against the cage. Kalkbrenner has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Patriotov is trying to keep an underhook but Kalkbrenner manages to get the takedown into half guard. Kalkbrenner seems to be working for a kimura but Patriotov defends the submission attempt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kalkbrenner is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patriotov is trying to get back to full guard. Kalkbrenner wants to free his trapped foot but Patriotov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Kalkbrenner is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kalkbrenner is taking a breather. Patriotov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kalkbrenner wants to stand but Patriotov has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Spenser Kalkbrenner just wasn't active enough. Kalkbrenner drives through with a takedown into Patriotov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Kalkbrenner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kalkbrenner wanted to stand there but Patriotov had control of the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Patriotov keeping moving, preventing Kalkbrenner from controlling successfully. Patriotov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kalkbrenner is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Spenser Kalkbrenner. Patriotov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Patriotov shoots in looking for a takedown but Kalkbrenner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Patriotov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kalkbrenner blocks a head kick by Patriotov.
Patriotov tries to clinch up but Kalkbrenner circles away and keeps his distance. Patriotov throws a sloppy head kick and Kalkbrenner moves out of range easily. Patriotov looks winded! No luck for Patriotov with that takedown attempt. Kalkbrenner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Patriotov's half guard. Kalkbrenner slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kalkbrenner has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Spenser Kalkbrenner wasn't doing enough on the ground. A momentary lapse in concentration from Patriotov enables Kalkbrenner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Patriotov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Spenser Kalkbrenner dominated that round. That's time! Kalkbrenner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Patriotov throws a head kick that misses. Patriotov moves into range and clinches up with Kalkbrenner. Patriotov can't break the clinch.

Kalkbrenner is trying to break the clinch but Patriotov is controlling him. Kalkbrenner works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Patriotov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kalkbrenner trying to stand up but can't free himself from Patriotov's guard. Patriotov is looking to stand up but Kalkbrenner isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kalkbrenner is looking to stand up but Patriotov won't let him. Patriotov is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kalkbrenner dives into side control.
Patriotov is trying to get back to half guard. Kalkbrenner happy to just control the position for now. Patriotov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kalkbrenner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Patriotov is looking to reverse the position. Kalkbrenner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kalkbrenner has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Patriotov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kalkbrenner yanks on the arm and Patriotov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kalkbrenner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Spenser Kalkbrenner! After winning the bout, Spenser Kalkbrenner thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
