Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Okrasiuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Regan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Regan has chosen Thrift shop as his entrance music. Gordon Okrasiuk has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gordon Okrasiuk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Taylor Regan!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Okrasiuk closes the distance and clinches.
Come on Okrasiuk - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Okrasiuk putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Regan in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Regan letting Okrasiuk take a breather here.
A body shot lands from Okrasiuk.
Okrasiuk is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gordon Okrasiuk.
Regan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Okrasiuk takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Regan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Okrasiuk pinned against the ropes. Okrasiuk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Regan keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Okrasiuk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Regan tries for a takedown but Okrasiuk sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gordon Okrasiuk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taylor Regan.
Regan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Okrasiuk's head.

Regan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Okrasiuk pushes Regan back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.

Okrasiuk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Regan slips a jab and a cross from Okrasiuk.
Gordon Okrasiuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Regan jabs Okrasiuk to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Okrasiuk is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Regan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Okrasiuk, pushing him back against the ropes.
Okrasiuk stalls.
Okrasiuk missing with knees to the body.
Okrasiuk stalling in the clinch but Regan improves position.
Regan tries for a takedown but Okrasiuk manages to get underhooks.
Regan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Okrasiuk avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Regan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Okrasiuk pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Okrasiuk creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Regan's defenses.
Regan dodges an elbow strike from Okrasiuk.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Regan as Okrasiuk tries to tie him up.
Okrasiuk looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Okrasiuk stalls.
Regan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Regan tries for a takedown but Okrasiuk manages to get underhooks.
Regan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Okrasiuk trying to land knees to the body.
Okrasiuk tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Regan avoids it.
Okrasiuk lands a damaging elbow.
Okrasiuk missing with knees to the body.

Okrasiuk unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Regan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Okrasiuk regains guard immediately.

Regan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Regan drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Regan seems to have locked his on tight now - Okrasiuk screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Regan, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Taylor Regan!
