Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Denke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes to the cage accompanied by Wildboy. Denke has chosen Runnin With The Devil as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maximus Scott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Denke! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Denke looks for a takedown but Scott sprawls well. A big right from Scott misses. Scott misses the shot to the body. Scott with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Denke to score with a decent uppercut. Scott dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Denke. That did some damage! Nice defenses there by Denke. Denke shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Scott is trying to defend but Denke finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Scott slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Scott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Scott is working hard here to advance position. Denke must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Denke trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Scott utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Denke trying to control but Scott is working from the bottom. Denke is fighting to break Scott's control of his arms but Scott is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Scott has momentary wrist control but Denke slips an elbow through the middle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Denke looking to pass the guard. Scott working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Denke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Denke looking to sit in guard and control but Scott gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Denke wants to hit a switch here but Scott passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Denke there! Denke is looking to get to half guard. Denke is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Denke gets back to half guard. Denke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Scott is thwarting Denke's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Denke keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Scott seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Denke does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Denke trying to hold on to Scott's head to control him but Scott postures up.
Denke makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Denke. Denke wants to sweep but no luck. Denke manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Scott is looking to improve his position but Denke isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scott is squirming around, avoiding Denke's attempts to control the action. Scott avoids a strike by Denke and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Denke's guard! Fantastic escape!

Denke looking for a sweep. Not yet Denke, not yet. Scott trying to control but Denke is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Denke is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Denke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karl Denke dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Scott throws a quick inside leg kick. Denke keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Scott looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A looping hook to the body misses from Denke. Scott does a little dance to reset his feet. Scott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Denke gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Scott throws a head kick that misses. Denke closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Scott controlling the position for now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Scott has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Denke is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott tries to roll over but Denke keeps him under control. Scott keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Denke is keen to just control but Scott is a slippery customer. Scott blocking the ground and pound attempt from Denke. Denke content to control rather than advance. Denke seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Scott does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Scott pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Denke scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Denke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Scott but Scott pushes him off and we're back to square one. Maximus Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Denke fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Scott. Scott turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Denke lands a jab to Scott's midsection. Scott moves out of range of the body kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Denke throws a head kick that half lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Denke takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Denke throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Denke lands a glancing blow to the side of Scott's head. Scott scores with a kick to the midsection. Scott uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Scott misses with a hook
and Denke counters with a shoot takedown. Scott fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Scott is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Denke looking to sit in guard and control but Scott gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Scott won't allow Denke to sweep him here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Denke keeping full guard, as Scott tries to pass. Scott loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Karl Denke will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
A head kick misses from Scott. Maximus Scott is winning the standup battle so far. Scott will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Scott throws a leg kick but Denke sees it coming and moves out of range. A low kick from Scott misses and Denke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Scott's guard. Denke sitting in guard here, content to control. Scott pulls Denke in close to his closed guard and prevents Denke from doing any damage or advancing position. Denke stands and throws Scott's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott is looking to regain half guard here but Denke keeps moving and retains side control. Scott is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Denke off and has taken his back! Scott throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Denke prevents Scott from getting a body triangle. Scott lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. I really don't envy Denke right now.
Scott is not going to allow Denke to sit and survive in this position. Denke is trying to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. What can Denke do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Scott throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
