Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mayo Kermode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yster Best (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Yster Best was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mayo Kermode!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yster Best!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Best tries to bum rush Kermode with a series of wild strikes but Kermode uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Best takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Best uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kermode.
A big right from Kermode misses.
Best looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kermode looks for the body kick but Best saw that one coming.
A telegraphed right hand from Best misses the target.
Best looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Best misses with a low kick.
Kermode tries to bum rush Best with a series of wild strikes but Best uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Best is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kermode is just riding it out for now. Best eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Best working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Best is trying to control. Kermode wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Best winds up and cracks Kermode with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Best performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Best looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Best is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kermode defends it well.

Best closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Best is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kermode is just riding it out for now. Best eventually gives up the hold.
Kermode is staying active underneath Best, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Best is working for a kimura but Kermode is defending it quite comfortably.

Best is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kermode sees it coming and defends easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kermode is not content to let Best control the position.
Best sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kermode defending well though.
Best wants to take a breather but Kermode is having none of it.
Well, if Best is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Yster Best was stalling too much, according to the referee.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kermode enables Best to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kermode manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yster Best showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Best will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Best throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kermode misses with a jab, cross combination.
Best throws a right and a left that Kermode avoids nicely.
Best looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kermode displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Best.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kermode, as that shot connected.
Best shoots for a double leg takedown but Kermode sprawls well. He's pushed Best's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Best showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Kermode keeping moving, preventing Best from controlling successfully.
Best postures up in Kermode's guard and throws a big left but Kermode blocks it.
Best throws a big right hand that misses.
Kermode manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Best wants to control but Kermode is having none of it.

Kermode tries to control but Best wriggling away.
Best wants to hold on but Kermode pushes him away.
Best tries to reverse the position but Kermode maintains control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Best is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kermode knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Best on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Best sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Best tries to get to full guard but Kermode has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Best trying to hold on to Kermode's head to control him but Kermode postures up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Yster Best comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Best winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Yster Best decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
