Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Larkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Speed comes to the cage accompanied by Amon Tobin / El Cargo. Larkin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I'm Shipping Up To Boston kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Speed! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Larkin! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speed swings for the body but Larkin moves out of range.
Larkin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Speed was well out of range. Poor timing from Larkin. Speed looking to score a takedown here. Larkin is defending well but Speed drives through and ends up in Larkin's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Speed wants to pass the guard but Larkin is keeping the position. Speed stopping the sweep attempt from Larkin. Larkin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Speed puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Larkin controlling the position well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Larkin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Speed's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Speed's back! Larkin scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Larkin working for a choke but Speed is defending well. Larkin throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Larkin misses with punches from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Larkin lands shots from the back. Larkin throwing strikes and Speed squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted. Speed tries to lock up and control but Larkin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Larkin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Larkin with good strikes from the mount here! Larkin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

It looks like Daniel Speed has been cut. Larkin thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larkin throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Larkin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Speed is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Speed stays in close to Larkin's body and controls the position. Larkin looking to control.
Larkin wants to sweep here but Speed controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Speed looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel Speed wasn't doing enough on the ground. Speed checks a leg kick. Larkin scoring well with a low kick there.
Sloppy strikes from Larkin. Those never looked like landing. Larkin closes the distance and clinches up with Speed, looking for a takedown. Larkin pushes Speed against the cage but Speed circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Larkin scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Larkin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Speed doesn't seem bothered though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Speed swings for the body but Larkin moves out of range.
Speed listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Larkin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Daniel Speed's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Speed moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Speed looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Larkin throws a poor cross that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Speed moves out of range of the body kick from Larkin.
Speed lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Larkin at a distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Speed connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Larkin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Speed moves away. Speed slips under a jab. Speed sizes up Larkin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Speed lands with a good body shot. Speed feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Larkin's calf. Speed scores with a nice head shot. Larkin is breathing heavily. Larkin shoots in for a takedown but Speed shows good takedown defense. Speed is looking to wear down Larkin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Speed with a nice cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Speed drops Larkin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Larkin looks back up at him and smiles so Speed waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Larkin is rocked! Speed lands a brutal uppercut that launches Larkin off his feet! Larkin tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Daniel Speed! Daniel Speed retains his light heavyweight title! Daniel Speed thanked the fans post fight for their support.
