Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Martain!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martain lands with a shot to the body.
Nice straight punches there by Martain. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Martain.


It looks like Curtis Anderson has been cut.
Martain lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Anderson backs up against the cage.
Anderson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Martain scores with a hook.
Anderson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Martain connects with a good right hand that stumbles Anderson. Anderson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Anderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Martain, pushing him back against the cage.

Anderson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Martain is trying to keep an underhook but Anderson manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Martain, as that shot connected.

Martain dips to his left and cracks Anderson with an uppercut!
Martain takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Anderson darts in and clinches Martain up against the cage.

Anderson is looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Curtis Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Martain wants to break free but Anderson has control.
Martain can't break the clinch.

Anderson breaks from the clinch.
Martain throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Anderson gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Anderson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Martain swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Anderson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Martain feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Andersons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Anderson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Martain tries to bum rush Anderson with a series of wild strikes but Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Anderson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Anderson slips a jab and a cross from Martain.
Martain's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Martain duly obliges.

Martain tries to keep at a distance but Anderson has taken the fight into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Martain's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Anderson can't get the takedown.

Martain misses with a jab, cross combination.
Anderson dodges the punch combination from Martain.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A punch lands to the side of Anderson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Martain sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Martain rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anderson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Martain wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Anderson jumps guard and drags Martain to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Martain might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
